Reducing the negative impact
of alcohol, tobacco & other drugs
in our community.

The Drug Free Adams County consists of concerned citizens and community leaders working in collaboration through our coalition and partnerships.

MissionStatement : To promote responsible lifestyle choices that reduce the negative impact of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs to youth and adults in our community.

Drug Free Adams County initiatives are to:

  • Reduce substance abuse among youth in Adams County and over time, among adults by addressing the factors in our community that increase the risk of substance abuse and promoting the factors that minimize the risk of substance abuse.

  • Establish and strengthen collaboration among Adams County’s private non-profit agencies, and Federal, State, and local governments to support the efforts of SAAC to prevent and reduce substance abuse among youth.

Please join us in reducing the negative impact of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs in our community.  We meet each month on the fourth Wednesday at noon at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur.  The public is welcome!
